HARRISBURG – The Senate Majority Policy Committee will be holding a public hearing about criminal trends and solutions in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 11, at 10 a.m. in Hearing Room 1 of the Pennsylvania State Capitol’s North Office Building, according to Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49), chair of the committee.
The committee will look at crime trends across Pennsylvania to get a clear picture of the factors driving these trends and what’s happening in our communities. Experts will shed light on these factors – focusing on law enforcement workforce limitations, mental and behavioral health issues in the judicial system, and organized retail theft – with the committee exploring solutions to make our communities safer.
The June 11 hearing will be livestreamed here.
