Laughlin to Discuss Legislation to Increase Primary Election Participation

As Pennsylvania voters cast their ballots on Tuesday (May 18), Senator Dan Laughlin (R-Erie) will detail his plans to introduce legislation intended to increase participation in Pennsylvania’s primary elections.

Senator Laughlin, in conjunction with the Erie Branch of the League of Women Voters, will discuss his bill during a press conference set for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, at Artlore Studio, 3406 W. Lake Road, Erie.

Artlore is currently displaying a suffrage centennial project, “Every Woman,” that was initially seeded with a state grant.  “Every Woman” is mannequin design project by a diverse group of female artists using the American suffrage colors to reflect on the vote, the changing culture of women, and issues still impacting women today.
