
HARRISBURG – The Senate Majority Policy Committee will be holding a public hearing about orphan and abandoned well plugging in Pennsylvania on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Ft. Duquesne Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, according to Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49), chair of the committee.
The committee will discuss the identification and inventory process, ideas to streamline the plugging process and a funding mechanism to help ensure that plugging efforts are effective, sustainable and aligned with broader safety and environmental concerns.
