HARRISBURG – With a backdrop of January being Human Trafficking Prevention Month and Jan. 11 being National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, the Senate Majority Policy Committee will be holding a public hearing about human trafficking on Thursday, Jan. 11, starting at 2 p.m. in the Union Trust Building, 11th Floor, 501 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA, according to Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49), chair of the committee.
The goals of the hearing are to help raise awareness about the complexities of human trafficking crime and to discuss crucial strategies for prevention, victim support and the prosecution of traffickers. Hearing testifiers will include law enforcement, policymakers and people who are on the front lines of raising awareness about and helping victims of human trafficking.
